The Trade Union Congress (TUC) has backed Lagos-based NYSC member Ushie Uguamaye, also known as Raye, after she claimed to have received threats for criticizing President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

TUC President Festus Osifo urged the government to tolerate criticism, acknowledging that frustration and economic hardship drive such expressions.
Raye gained attention after posting a viral video on TikTok condemning Nigeria’s economic decline and labeling Tinubu a “terrible leader.” She later alleged that NYSC officials pressured her to delete the video.
While the NYSC has not officially responded, Osifo emphasized that the government should exercise patience rather than target critics.
