Lagos State University (LASU) has stopped all exams and school activities because of a strike by staff unions. The second semester exams for the 2024/2025 session were supposed to start on Monday, August 4, but are now on hold until further notice.

The university explained that the strike is aimed at the Lagos State Government, not the school itself. LASU management has tried to help settle the issue and even attended a meeting with government officials and union leaders on August 1. More talks are planned for August 7.
All students living in the school hostels were told to leave by 6:00 a.m. on Monday. LASU asked students to stay calm and follow the rules while waiting for updates.
