FilmOne Entertainment has announced the highest-grossing Nollywood lead actresses for 2024. Funke Akindele secured the top spot with her blockbuster film Everybody Loves Jenifa, which made history by grossing over ₦1 billion in just 19 days. Wunmi Toriola followed in second place with Queen Lateefah, while Toyin Abraham ranked third with Alakada Bad and Boujee.
Other top names on the list include Tomike Adeoye (Ajosepo), Eniola Ajao (Beast of Two Worlds: Ajakaju), and Kehinde Bankole (Funmilayo Ransome Kuti). Adunni Ade, Uche Nwaefuna, Regina Daniels, and Gbugbemi Ejeye also made the top ten.
This achievement cements Funke Akindele’s position as Nigeria’s highest-grossing producer and director, following last year’s success of A Tribe Called Judah, which also surpassed ₦1 billion.
