Drake has filed a lawsuit against Universal Music Group (UMG), accusing the label of defamation and harassment for promoting Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us,” which includes allegations of pedophilia.

Filed in Manhattan federal court, the suit claims UMG prioritized profit over artist safety, leading to online harassment and physical threats, including a shooting at Drake’s home.
Drake is not suing Lamar but alleges UMG knowingly promoted false and dangerous accusations to devalue his music ahead of contract negotiations.
UMG denies any wrongdoing, stating fans choose the music they listen to. “Not Like Us” is nominated for five Grammys, while Lamar is set to headline the Super Bowl halftime show.
