Two-time world heavyweight champion, George Foreman, has passed away at 76, his family confirmed in a statement on Saturday morning. The legendary boxer, known for his Rumble in the Jungle fight against Muhammad Ali, died peacefully surrounded by loved ones.
Foreman, who was also a pastor, businessman, and humanitarian, rose from a tough childhood in Texas to win Olympic gold in 1968 before turning professional. He became the heavyweight champion in 1973 after defeating Joe Frazier but lost the title to Ali in 1974.
