The pan-Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, has condemned the allegations made by Atiku Abubakar Isah, a factional leader of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), against Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu. In a statement issued by National Organising Secretary Abagun Kole Omololu, Afenifere labeled the claims as false, politically motivated, and aimed at maligning the President through his son. The group argued that Isah’s association with key figures in the anti-Tinubu coalition, as seen in his inauguration banner featuring Atiku Abubakar and Rotimi Amaechi, suggests ulterior motives.

Afenifere further criticized Isah for dragging Seyi Tinubu into his personal and political battles without presenting any solid evidence. They described his actions as part of a broader scheme orchestrated by President Tinubu’s political opponents, using Isah as a front to launch indirect attacks on the First Family. The organization warned that such tactics are harmful to democratic discourse and urged students not to be misled by those exploiting national platforms for divisive politics.
