The People Democratic Party (PDP), under the leadership of Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, has presented former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan as the party’s presidential candidate candidate for the 2027 presidential election following the Special National Convention.
In post posted on its official acciubt on X, the PDP wrote: ” With the affirmation of our presidential candidate, we are now ready for the 2027 general elections, and we charge the Interim National Working Committee to take necessary steps to ensure the party’s full and effective participation in the next polls. Furthermore, we charge them to adequately sensitize the public (local and international) on the asphyxiation of the opposition and the promotion of a one-party state in Nigeria.
“The Special National Convention hereby declares the Peoples Democratic Party united, prepared, and fully mobilized for the task of rescuing Nigeria through democratic means in the 2027 general elections.”
The party cal3el on all party members to remain steadfast and committed to the ideals of our party, conscious that very soon this battle will be over, and we will be more than conquerors.
