At the 80th birthday celebration of Dr. Godswill Okoro in Umuahia, Senator Adolphus Wabara, Chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees and former Senate President, commended Governor Alex Otti for his transformative governance in Abia State. Despite his recent suspension by the Abia PDP for endorsing Otti’s second term bid, Wabara insisted that governance should take precedence over politics.

He reaffirmed his support for Otti, stating that even a blind man could see the governor’s positive impact on the state. He also challenged his party’s decision, asserting that no one could suspend him for speaking the truth.
Dr. Okoro, the celebrant, echoed similar sentiments, praising Otti’s infrastructural initiatives, particularly the reconstruction of Onuinyang-Oporoenyi Oboro Road, which he said would boost agriculture. He also highlighted Otti’s accessibility as a leader.
Governor Otti, in his remarks, emphasized unity and excellence in Abia governance, urging residents to move beyond divisive politics. He reiterated his respect for elders and announced upcoming celebrations for Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe and Senator Chris Adighije.
