Nollywood actor Chinedu Ikedieze, known fondly as Aki, has highlighted the positive influence his character in the beloved television series “The Johnsons” had on youths, citing instances where it helped reshape families for the better.
Ikedieze shared heartfelt anecdotes from fans who confessed how the show contributed to improving family dynamics. “There are countless times that I met people and they confessed about how the series helped to reshape their families for good. Some admitted that the show helped to bring their family together. Some parents also told me how my character, ‘Efe Johnson’, helped their sons to become better,” he revealed.
Expressing his pride in the series’ success, Ikedieze acknowledged its eventual end, stating, “I feel accomplished that the small job we started over a decade ago later became the best family program on Africa Magic. Of course, every good thing that has a beginning must come to an end someday.”
Reflecting on cherished memories from the set, the actor reminisced about the camaraderie and joy experienced during shoots. “The atmosphere on set coupled with the love we shared as a family created lots of memories. The truth is we had more fun behind the scenes,” he remarked.
Looking ahead, Ikedieze emphasized his plans to focus on his business ventures, including content creation for his YouTube channel and involvement in media, tourism, and logistics. “I have always had plans… I will also have more time to engage in my business,” he affirmed.
Addressing the impact of the series on his personal life, Ikedieze noted its significance in altering public perception of him beyond his mischievous on-screen roles. “It impacted my life in a lot of ways. At least, people could see me in a different light other than acting as a mischievous person in most of my movies,” he explained
