Prominent members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have criticized Akwa Ibom Governor Umo Eno and former Ekiti Governor Ayodele Fayose for publicly endorsing President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid. Chief Bode George and Deputy National Youth Leader Timothy Osadolor condemned their actions, warning that such endorsements could harm the party’s unity and electoral prospects ahead of the 2027 general elections.

George urged Governor Eno to retract his statement, labeling it unprecedented and dangerous to the party’s cohesion. Osadolor dismissed Fayose’s comments as irrelevant and personal. Meanwhile, Rep. Wole Oke lamented the ongoing crisis within the PDP, describing the party as “gasping for breath” and disorganized as it heads toward the next election cycle.
