Member representing Badagry Federal Constituency, Sesi Whingan, has condemned the shooting of a woma identified as Hunsu Elizabeth reportedly shot in the arm by an officer of the Nigeria Immigration Service the Igbogbele community of Badagry, Lagos State.

Whingan described the incident as part of a disturbing pattern of harassment and danger residents along the Badagry–Owode–Seme corridor face due to the high presence of security checkpoints and frequent chases by officers. Whingan emphasized that such reckless use of force undermines public trust and must be urgently addressed.
He pledged to engage with the leadership of the Nigeria Immigration Service and Nigeria Customs Service to ensure accountability and reforms aimed at protecting civilians. He also urged residents to remain calm and avoid retaliatory actions that could escalate tensions. Meanwhile, calls for justice continue to intensify, especially as this incident adds to a growing list of tragic security operations impacting border communities in recent months.
