Victor Osimhen has surpassed Segun Odegbami to become the second-highest goal scorer in Super Eagles history after scoring a first-half brace against Rwanda in their 2026 World Cup qualifier, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Napoli striker netted his 24th international goal after converting a set-piece cross from Ademola Lookman. He then scored his 25th goal just before halftime, dribbling through Rwanda’s defense before slotting the ball past the goalkeeper.
Osimhen now trails only Rashidi Yekini, who holds the all-time record with 37 goals, bringing him closer to cementing his legacy as one of Nigeria’s greatest goal scorers.
