Nigeria will host the 13th ECOWAS African Wrestling Tournament in Abuja from March 6-8, 2025. The event, part of ECOWAS’ 50th-anniversary celebrations, will take place at the Velodrome, MKO Abiola National Stadium.
Top wrestlers from West Africa will compete, with support from ECOWAS and Nigeria’s National Sports Commission (NSC). NSC Chairman Shehu Dikko and Director General Bukola Olopade expressed confidence in Nigeria’s ability to organize a world-class event.
This tournament highlights Nigeria’s readiness to host major sporting events in the region.
