Mali has announced its withdrawal from the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF), following the footsteps of Niger and Burkina Faso.

The Malian junta cited sovereignty concerns as the reason for quitting the French-speaking organization, which had suspended the country after the 2020 coup.
The three Sahel nations, which have severed ties with France and aligned with Russia, had already left ECOWAS to form their own confederation.
