CBN, Finance Ministry Sign MoU to Strengthen Monetary-Fiscal Policy,  Macroeconomic Coordination

In an effort to improve collaboration on economic policies and support stronger macroeconomic management, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Federal Ministry of Finance have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening coordination between monetary and fiscal authorities.

The agreement is expected to provide a more coordinated approach to addressing issues affecting Nigeria’s economy.

According to the CBN, closer monetary-fiscal coordination will help promote economic stability, while supporting policies that encourage sustainable growth and investment.

The partnership ultimately seeks to contribute to lasting economic stability and sustainable prosperity for Nigerians through better alignment of government fiscal policies and CBN monetary policies.
