The Nigeria Police Force has confirmed the extradition of Benjamin Best Nnayereugo, alias “Killaboi,” from Doha, Qatar, to Nigeria for the alleged murder of his 21-year-old ex-girlfriend, Augusta Onuwabhagbe, on July 13, 2023, in Ajah, Lagos.
The extradition was facilitated by INTERPOL, the Ministry of Justice, and Qatari authorities. After fleeing Nigeria, Nnayereugo initially confessed to the crime online but used false identities to evade capture across multiple countries. He was first arrested in Sierra Leone in October 2023 but escaped during a prison break.
He was later apprehended in Qatar under a forged Guinean passport. The Inspector-General of Police praised the international cooperation and assured the public of a thorough prosecution.
