Former Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has refuted claims that he accused his successor, Governor Alex Otti, of taking credit for projects initiated during his tenure. Through a statement by his spokesman, Sir Onyebuchi Ememanka, Ikpeazu dismissed the reports as false, misleading, and the work of “merchants of evil” and “lazy bloggers.”

He emphasized that he has made no public comments about the current administration since leaving office, except in rare cases where official clarification was necessary. Ikpeazu announced plans to pursue legal action against those spreading the fake news and cautioned social media users against sharing unverified information, reminding the public of the legal consequences associated with creating or disseminating falsehoods.
