Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has launched a community visitation initiative aimed at identifying and addressing the immediate needs of rural areas, rather than using their challenges as campaign tools during elections. His Special Adviser on Political Mobilization, Hon. Eugene Utubor, emphasized the governor’s commitment to ending years of government neglect in communities lacking basic services such as water and infrastructure.

Utubor also highlighted the increasing defection of opposition members, particularly from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
He attributed this shift to Governor Okpebholo’s performance and the internal crises within the PDP. Utubor predicted that more defections would follow, eventually leading to the collapse of the PDP in Edo State.
