“Don’t let jealousy burn you”, movie producer and actress, Funke Akindele replied Kunle Afolayan’s comments questioned on how she and others manage profit-making strategies in cinema movies.
Kunle Afolayan, Filmmaker and Creative Industry Entrepreneur, had criticized current marketing strategies, saying he doesn’t want to exhaust himself for N1 billion or N2 billion in cinema profits. He also questioned how Funke Akindele and others manage to promote their movies effectively.
Funke Akindele attributed Kunle Afolayan’s comments to jealousy, saying “Don’t let jealousy burn you”. She encouraged him to create his own path or alternative promotion strategies, stating that the sky is big enough for everyone to fly. Funke emphasized her focus on her own path and faith in God’s plan.
The spat comes amid box office records set by Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele, with their movies grossing N1 billion and N2 billion respectively. It seems like the Nollywood drama is heating up.
