The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State has dissociated itself from a petition alleging N12.5 billion fraud against Senator Agom Jarigbe, who represents the Northern Senatorial District. State APC Chairman, Alphonsus Eba, stated that the petition, allegedly filed by concerned APC stakeholders, was not authorized by the party.

He warned members against engaging in legal actions on behalf of the party without official approval, emphasizing the need to avoid misrepresentation and internal division.
Eba reaffirmed the party’s commitment to unseating Jarigbe in the 2027 general elections but stressed that all actions must follow due process. He also declared Governor Bassey Otu and Deputy Governor Peter Odey as the APC’s sole candidates for the 2027 gubernatorial election, citing their administration’s achievements. According to Eba, “Nobody changes a winning team.”
