After a peaceful election conducted under the supervision of the NUJ National Executive Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ayuku Pwaspo has been re-elected Chairman of the Plateau State Council of the Union.
Platequ State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Joyce Ramnap,who described the peaceful poll as a reflection of democratic values and praised NUJ members for their maturity and professionalism.
In her acceptance speech, Pwaspo pledged to prioritise journalists’ welfare, professional development, digital skills, press freedom and ethical journalism while strengthening NUJ chapels.
