Reports gathered that the national tripartite committee on minimum wage will meet daily for the next one week as announced by George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

According to reports, this decision came after a crucial meeting between the Federal Government and organized labor in Abuja.
Key figures at the meeting included National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu and Nigeria Labour Congress President Joe Ajaero.
The meeting, resulted in a signed agreement, although the specifics have not yet been disclosed.
Akume confirmed that President Bola Tinubu’s administration is committed to paying a minimum wage exceeding N60,000.
He also assured that no worker will face repercussions for participating in the strike.
Organized had started strike on Monday, 3rd day of June, 2024 to force home their demand of at least a N100,000 minimum wage.
