The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has increased its air operations against terrorism, banditry, kidnapping and other criminal activities across the North-West region aimed at disrupting the activities of terrorists, bandits and other criminal groups operating in the region. The NAF is deploying air assets to identify and target criminal hideouts and movements.

The aerial campaign is also expected to support ground troops and security agencies in ongoing efforts to restore peace and protect communities affected by insecurity.
The operations form part of the military’s broader efforts to strengthen national security and reduce criminal activities across the country, particularly in areas facing persistent threats from armed groups.
