The Australian Defence Forces have praised Nigeria’s custom-built logistics vessel, NNS KADA, as the best Landing Ship Tank (LST) in the world.
Brig.-Gen. Colin Bassett, Director-General of Platforms for the Australian Defence Forces, made this remark during a visit to the Western Naval Command in Apapa, Lagos.
Leading a team of eight Australian Army officers, including engineers and technicians, Bassett stated that Australia is in the process of upgrading its military assets and chose to study NNS KADA due to its superior design.
He emphasized that after extensive research, they found Nigeria’s landing craft to be the best globally and expressed excitement about learning from it to replicate a similar model in Australia. He also hinted at future collaboration between both nations’ navies.
