Diamond New Energy Investment Company has announced the expansion of a substantial dumping area dedicated to the disposal of blasted muck. This strategic initiative aims to empower the mining community of Endo Village, located in the Udege Development Area of Nasarawa Local Government.

This expansion follows the recent rollout of Sallah festival palliatives by Diamond New Energy, which sought to foster a sense of belonging within the local community. The newly expanded site, which is nearly double the size of the previous dumping area, serves as a dedicated space for muck that contains valuable mineral fragments.
This development allows residents of Endo Village to safely scavenge and sell these materials, generating a sustainable source of income in a secure environment.
In addition to the 800 million Naira allocated for community social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, Diamond New Energy Investment Company has empowered over ten thousand individuals by providing direct and indirect job opportunities, both within and outside the community.
They have also distributed palliative support, funded infrastructural development, offered community training, and facilitated land reclamation efforts post-mining.

This comprehensive approach to community investment is designed to ensure that the community benefits from the harnessed natural resources in a meaningful way.
Understanding the high value of the minerals contained in the muck, the company has launched a program allowing residents to sell their collected muck back to Diamond New Energy for processing.
This initiative is intended to sustain the livelihoods of the host community while fostering economic growth and independence.
The muck dumping space is proving to be a game-changer for the people of Endo village, who are now able to directly benefit from the resources available on their land.
And this development has opened a new chapter filled with opportunities, and the community expresses their gratitude to Diamond New Energy for prioritizing their needs.
Notwithstanding, fostering an environment where the people of Endo village can take control of their economy destiny, Diamond New Energy is empowering them to become job creators rather than job seekers, paving the way for their growth and self determination.
Nasarawa State’s Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Princess Dr. Margaret Elayo, highlighted that mining investments in the state should not solely focus on profits for the government. It is crucial to ensure that the needs and interests of the host mining communities are prioritized as well.
As the people of Endo Village continue to thrive under the beneficial programs of Diamond New Energy, it is vital for the community to safeguard the company’s investments.
