Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky criticized the U.S. embassy in Ukraine for a “weak” response to a Russian missile strike on his hometown, Kryvyi Rih, which killed 18 people, including nine children.

Zelensky expressed frustration that the U.S. statement, issued by Ambassador Bridget Brink, did not explicitly blame Russia for the attack. The criticism comes amid U.S. President Donald Trump’s push for a partial ceasefire and improved relations with Moscow.
Zelensky emphasized the need for stronger condemnation, accusing the U.S. of avoiding the word “Russian” in reference to the missile strike.
