A 25-year-old woman, Salamatu Danjuma, from Nadabo village in Tafawa Balewa LGA, Bauchi State, has allegedly stabbed her husband to death following a domestic dispute.
According to Bauchi Police Command spokesman Ahmed Wakil, tensions arose over the custody of Salamatu’s six-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.
Initially, the husband agreed to take in the child but later refused, leading to escalating conflicts.
During a heated argument, Salamatu fatally stabbed him with a knife. Police officers responded swiftly and took the victim to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Commissioner of Police has ordered a thorough investigation into the incident.
