Tensions have escalated in the Eha-Amufu community, Isi-Uzo Local Government Area of Enugu State, following allegations of attacks by suspected herdsmen. Reports indicate that local women detained a man, Israel Mgborogwu, accusing him of misleading the public by claiming on social media that the community had not been attacked.

In videos obtained by Vanguard, the women alleged that Mgborogwu was involved in selling community land to unidentified buyers and providing information about farmers to herdsmen. The community’s president general, Odo Donatus, reportedly escaped being detained by the protesters.
Efforts to reach Donatus were unsuccessful as his phone lines were switched off. Similarly, the Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer, Daniel Ndukwe, did not respond to calls or messages regarding the situation.
