The U.S. Embassy in Nigeria is saying that starting today, if you’re a Nigerian and you want to visit the U.S. for things like tourism, business, or study, your visa will now:
- Let you enter only one time (that’s called a single-entry visa) • Be good for only 3 months (so you have to travel within 3 months or it will expire)
If your visa was already given to you before July 8, 2025, don’t worry, nothing is changing for you. Your visa will still work the same way it did when you got it.
They are doing this because the U.S. is matching the way Nigeria gives visas to Americans, they call it a “reciprocal” policy, like doing the same thing back.
