The Lagos State Police Command has arrested two Pakistani nationals for allegedly leading a notorious kidnapping gang operating in the state.

The suspects, Roman Gull, 19, and Aftab Ahmad, 28, were apprehended following a distress call about the abduction of a 48-year-old Pakistani man in Ikeja on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.
According to police reports, the victim was lured from Kano to Lagos under the pretense of a job offer as a chef. He was lodged in a hotel before the suspects, along with five others who are currently on the run, overpowered, tied him up, and demanded a ₦50 million ransom from his employer.
The employer paid ₦1 million to buy time and alerted the police, leading to the swift rescue of the victim and the arrest of two suspects. Items recovered include the suspects’ operational vehicle, $2,000 cash, three ATM cards, and other identification documents.
The Lagos Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, commended the officers for their efforts and assured residents of the command’s commitment to security in the state.
