Two Dead, 14 Rescued in Lagos Building Collapse

A three-storey building with a penthouse under construction collapsed on Oriwu Street, Lekki, Lagos, leading to the deaths of two laborers, while 14 others were rescued alive. The incident occurred around 4 PM, with bodies recovered by 7:45 PM.

Authorities, including the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and the police, responded swiftly. However, there were conflicting reports on the number of rescued victims—LASEMA confirmed six, while police sources stated 14. The exact cause of the collapse remains unknown.
