Warri, Delta State Tragedy struck in Warri South Local Government Area as an 11-year-old female student of Delta Secondary School was found dead in an uncompleted building at Okumagba Layout.
The young girl, who had attended her school’s annual inter-house sports competition, reportedly left the event early but never made it home. Concerned about her whereabouts, her family launched a search, only to make the heartbreaking discovery the following day.
Eyewitnesses revealed that the victim showed signs of a violent attack. The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation is underway to bring those responsible to justice.
Authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities, while advocacy groups continue to call for increased security measures to protect children from such tragic incidents.
