The Director of finance and account Mr Taiwo was gunned down Wednesday by robbers attacked Mr Taiwo was attached to the office of Governor Dapo Abiodun at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, in a bullion van ambush.
Oyekanmi was gunned down while returning from the bank where he had taken a bullion van to withdraw some funds for the state.
The CP said the incident happened on the NNPC Bridge, near Kuto, Abeokuta.

The Ogun State Commissioner of Police has stated that the killers of the Director of Finance and Account, Mr. Taiwo Oyekanmi were insiders. He further revealed that the robbery and killing were premeditated because the the robbers were fully armed with a sledgehammer to break into the bullion van.
He added that someone gave the robbers an information about his movement because they trailed him to the bank. They were 5 in number and they put on hoodies. They came in a Toyota Corolla with no registration number. There were three men in the van but only Taiwo was shot dead.
The bullion van was without any police escort at the time of the incident. The attached mobile police officer who was supposed to be with the van travelled to Igbo-Ora in Oyo State on Tuesday without permission. He has since been arrested for investigation.
