Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, is a controversial crossdresser and social media figure who was recently detained again in Lagos by agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

At the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, he was taken from a KLM flight headed for Amsterdam and arrested by immigration officials late Thursday evening as he tried to depart the nation for London, UK.
In order to inform his followers about the arrest, the well-known transvestite wrote on his Instagram page that he had been hurt in a fight with the immigration officials.
Bobrisky claimed that his incarceration was due to the EFCC.
“Nigerians help me, EFCC just arrested me,” he wrote. I have serious injuries.
However, reports claim that his incarceration resulted from his refusal to accept many invitations from the commission after he made accusations against the EFCC.
In a voicemail that was provided by Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, a controversial social critic, Bobrisky purportedly said that he paid N15 million to EFCC investigators to drop money laundering accusations against him.
The EFCC established a committee to look into the incident even though it refuted the accusations.
Wilson Uwajaren, the director of public affairs, had alluded to the possibility of Bobrisky being charged again by the commission if the accusations against the EFCC were untrue during a press briefing on Thursday.
The source said, “We have arrested him in Lagos today and will be flown to Abuja today. He accused us of bribery and corruption; we invited him severally, but he did not show up. He who alleges must be ready to prove. Those allegations are too weighty to allow slide.
“Also, remember that he has also refused to show up at the National Assembly on the matter. We are left with no other choice than to pick him up so that he can substantiate his claims. And that is what we have done. “
When contacted on Friday morning, the EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, confirmed Bobrisky’s arrest.
“Bobrisky is on his way to Abuja as we speak,” he added.
