Super Eagles Player, Ademola Lookman Submits Transfer Request, Calls Out His Club Atalanta For Blocking His Transfer

Ademola Lookman has officially submitted a transfer request, calling out his club for blocking his transfer to Inter Milan.

Taking to his social media accounts on Sunday, the 27-year-old winger expressed his growing frustration with the situation, declaring that “enough is enough” and confirmed he has officially submitted a transfer request to the club.

Lookman stated that both he and the club’s management had agreed that this summer was the right time for a move, and he was assured that if a reasonable offer arrived, he would be allowed to leave.

The winger added that despite Atalanta receiving “an offer in alignment to what I believe had been discussed”, the club has refused to honour its agreement.

The Nigerian international is eager to join Cristian Chivu’s side, with negotiations ongoing between the two Serie A clubs.

Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Lookman officially submitted his request to leave over the weekend. His decision follows Inter Milan’s latest offerreported to be €42 million plus €3 million in bonuses, which Atalanta swiftly rejected.

The club continues to hold out for a minimum fee of €50 million for the reigning African Player of the Year.
