Sen. Jimkuta Laments Denial of Landing Permit for 19 Senators at Kashimbilla Airport

Senator David Jimkuta (APC, Taraba South) has expressed frustration over the denial of landing permits for 19 senators at Kashimbilla Airport, Taraba, preventing them from attending his empowerment programme in Wukari. Despite completing all necessary flight procedures, the airport was reportedly shut down temporarily.

Jimkuta, who chairs the Senate Committee on FCT Area Councils, emphasized that the visit was intended to help senators understand the district’s needs. At the event, he donated various items, including cars, motorcycles, tricycles, sewing machines, and deep freezers, urging beneficiaries to use them wisely.

Chief David Kente, the event chairman, praised the initiative as unprecedented in the district’s history. Jimkuta also pledged logistical support for security in the area.
