Romanian Court Lifts Andrew Tate’s House Arrest

A Romanian court lifted the house arrest order for Andrew Tate, replacing it with a lighter preventative measure pending a criminal investigation.

Tate, his brother Tristan, and four other suspects face charges related to organized crime, human trafficking, trafficking minors, sexual intercourse with a minor, and money laundering, all of which they deny.

The house arrest was imposed in August as part of a second investigation. Under the new judicial control, Tate must check in with police regularly, cannot contact other suspects or witnesses, and is prohibited from leaving Romania.

The Tate brothers also face a British arrest warrant and will be extradited after their Romanian trial.
