A gospel singer, Timilehin Ajayi, was arrested for allegedly killing and dismembering his 24-year-old girlfriend, Salome Enejo, a National Youth Service Corps member, possibly for ritual purposes.
The crime took place in Nasarawa State, near Abuja. Ajayi was caught by church members after acting suspiciously and throwing a bag containing Enejo’s severed head into a river. When confronted, he tried to flee but was caught and handed over to the police.
Investigations revealed that the rest of her body was found in his apartment. Ajayi is receiving medical treatment after being injured during his arrest.
