To further strengthen Nigeria’s national security architecture, President Bola Tinubu has have approved changes in the Nigerian defence Armed Forces.

This was contained in a statement by Sunday Dare, Special Adviser to the President Media and Public Communication, on Friday.
According to the statement, General Christopher Musa,Chief of Defence Staff was replaced by General Olufemi Oluyede, who until the new appointment was Chief of Army Staff.

Major-General W. Shaibu was named as the new Chief of Army Staff while Air Vice Marshall S.K Aneke is the new Chief of Air Staff and Rear Admiral I. Abbas is the new Chief of Naval Staff.

President Tinubu thanked General Christopher Musa and the outgoing Service Chiefs for their selfless service and dedicated leadership, and I charge the new Service Chiefs to deepen professionalism, vigilance, and unity within our Armed Forces as they serve our nation with honour.

However, the Chief of Defence Intelligence, Major-General E.A.P Undiendeye, retained his position.
