Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 47th president of the United States on Monday, January 20, in a modified ceremony held indoors at the Capitol Rotunda due to cold weather.
The inauguration, traditionally held on the Capitol’s West Lawn, will feature customary pageantry and personal touches from Trump.
Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts will administer the oath of office, marking his second time officiating for Trump. The event will include an inaugural address outlining Trump’s plans for his next term, with a nod to his first-term speech referencing “American carnage.”
Incoming Vice President JD Vance will also be sworn in, and attendees will include both traditional dignitaries and tech industry leaders invited by Trump.
