President Tinubu Donates Palliatives to Christian, Muslim Faithful in South-East, South-South

President Bola Tinubu has donated palliative items to Christian and Muslim faithful in the South-East and South-South regions to ease economic hardship and support fasting individuals.

The donation was unveiled in Owerri by Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma on behalf of the president. Tinubu emphasized that the gesture was not only for economic relief but also had spiritual significance.

“As we work hard to bring a permanent solution to hunger and high living costs, the president has decided to provide palliative measures from time to time,” Uzodimma said.

Each state in the two regions will receive two trailer loads of rice (1,200 bags) and cartons of noodles, along with ₦5 million per state for fueling and transportation of the items.

The president urged transparent distribution, ensuring the items reach the poor and downtrodden. Religious leaders, including the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and Muslim community leaders, commended Tinubu for his support but called for long-term economic policies to improve self-sufficiency.
