The Presidency has clarified that President Bola Tinubu remains actively engaged in governance despite being abroad for nearly two weeks. According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu, currently in London after leaving Paris, maintains constant communication with key officials and has issued directives to address national security concerns. He is expected to return to Abuja on Monday, April 21, after the Easter holidays.
The clarification comes in response to growing criticism from opposition figures, including Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, over Tinubu’s absence amid escalating violence in states like Plateau and Benue. The Presidency assured Nigerians that governance continues uninterrupted.
