Bunmi Akinnanu, popularly known for her hit song “Omije Ojumi,” had battled a serious leg ailment for months, during which she and her supporters publicly sought prayers and divine healing. In late 2025, a viral video showed her at G.F. David Ministries in Ibadan, Oyo State, receiving prayers while seated with her leg stretched out. The cleric leading the service disclosed that she was suffering from persistent bleeding in her leg, sparking widespread concern and prayer support from fans nationwide.
The late singer began her music journey at the age of 10 and later left a banking career to pursue gospel music full-time. She rose to prominence with “Omije Ojumi,” a deeply emotional song that touched many lives.
