instead of going home after her closing hours, s year three Early Childhood Education student of the University of Jos, Grace Ayong Hwyere always stay back and wash all the dirty chairs and desks of her pupils at LEA Gwong in Nabor village, Etobaba road in Jos, Plateau State.

Grace who is currently on a 6-week teaching practice in the school disclosed that,
:When we got to the school, I was impressed to see such tables and chairs in a government-owned school (LEA). Considering how bad the situation in government schools can be, I was happy and impressed, but at the same time, I was sad to see how dirty they were (knowing how good they would look if cleaned). So, I decided to buy an iron sponge and detergent to wash them.

“I had planned to wash them during the weekend and rearrange the class before the pupils came on Monday to find a totally nice and transformed class, but I could not do it because I had other engagements that took up my time. So, on Monday, after school, I stayed back to clean them up and wash the classroom too.”

During an interview with Tudun Wada Broadcast, Grace expressed her passion for teaching, coupled with her years of experiences in the field. She also mentioned how she had volunteered as class teacher in some schools.”
