In a move to restoring Sanctity and progress within the party structures of the People Democratic Party, PDP, the National Working Committee of the party on Friday. March 7 2025 approved a constituted the Douth-Douth caretaker committee to manage the affairs of the party in the zone.
The committee to starts functioning on Monday, March 100, 2025 in a decision to counter personal interests of some individuals control of the party’s structures in the South-South geo political zone.
According to a statement by the PDP publicity secretary, Honourable Debo Ologunagab, the decision of the National Working Committee was in line with the party’s Constitution.

Zonal Caretaker Committee are; Hon. Nicholas Ayuwa, Barr. Godwin Akpan Udonta, Mrs. Bekewei Ashanti, Idehen Ebomoyi, Dame Vivian Ahanmisi, with Bro. Emma Ogidi as hairman and while Chief Damiete Herbert-Miller as Secretary of the committee.
