Ondo Governor Approves Recruitment of 1,010 Teachers

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has approved the recruitment of 1,010 secondary school teachers who passed the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) screening exercise. The list of successful candidates will be published online and displayed at TESCOM offices across the state.

According to a statement by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, the recruitment aims to address the shortage of teachers, particularly in rural areas.

A similar process for primary school teachers is nearing completion.

As part of his commitment to education reform, Aiyedatiwa also approved N633 million for the registration of 23,048 students for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
