The Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, has assured that he will not delay in filling any vacant positions within the Olubadan Chieftaincy hierarchy. He made this statement through his spokesman, Adeola Oloko, while receiving the Asipa Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Abiodun Kola-Daisi, at his residence in Lagos.

Ladoja acknowledged the passing of the 43rd Olubadan, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, who died on July 7, 2025, just days before marking his first coronation anniversary. Though he was not in Ibadan at the time of the monarch’s death, he paid tribute to the late king, describing him as a man who lived a meaningful and impactful life.
The former governor of Oyo State emphasized that every pending vacancy in the traditional line of succession would be addressed promptly. His commitment aims to ensure continuity and stability within the Ibadan traditional leadership structure.
