Foltï Technologies has launched eDryv — Nigeria’s first electric vehicle (EV) ride-hailing service — powered by 95% solar energy, offering eco-friendly transport solutions across Lagos.

Set to begin operations on April 13, 2025, eDryv provides affordable and sustainable mobility through ride-hailing, rentals, and corporate transport, with fares starting below ₦320/km. Riders earn “Green Coins” for every zero-emission kilometer traveled, redeemable for future discounts.
Founder Ahmad Damcida, a former oil and gas executive, said the service operates independently of the national grid using solar-powered charging hubs. Two vehicle models are currently available: Dayun MPV (450km range) and Dayun SUV (330km range).
eDryv’s smart tech system monitors driver behavior and vehicle health in real time. A pilot phase is underway on Lagos Island and parts of the Mainland, ahead of a full rollout featuring 231 EVs and new charging stations.
The initiative has been praised as a game-changer by stakeholders, including the Electric Mobility Promoters Association of Nigeria (EMPAN), which urged government support for scaling e-mobility nationwide. Plans for a local EV assembly plant in Ogun State are in the pipeline for 2026–2027.
