Nigerian activist Scott Iguma is set to be arraigned today, July 17, 2025, at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos. This was confirmed by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, who disclosed in a WhatsApp message that Iguma would face a 10-count charge in court.

Iguma’s arrest follows a series of controversial Instagram posts where he accused popular real estate firm, PWAN, of fraudulent practices. According to the activist, the company had been issuing mere receipts to customers rather than allocating actual plots of land, raising concerns about land scam activities.
In a more recent post, Iguma alleged that his arrest was orchestrated by the Deputy Commissioner of Police at Panti, Yaba, acting under the influence of PWAN’s founder, Augustine Onwumere. He suggested that the legal action against him is an attempt to silence him for exposing the company’s alleged misconduct.
