Growing up, Neo spent a lot of time with his warden mother and now thought it to be a good decision to visit the prison in order to give back to the society.
While he visited Warri, he went to the correctional facility with a handful of gift items for the prisoners.
He said, “Couldn’t have visited my Warri without visiting the Nigerian Correctional service again. Growing up and living inside the prisons because my mum was a warden, I developed a soft spot for some of these prisoners, especially after listening to some of their stories of how life dealt them a bad hand.”
Neo Akpofure said that prisoners rehabilitation was a passion for him and that he’d always ensure they lived in humane condition and this was his utmost reason for birthing the Amakazat foundation.
“This is one of the projects I’m intentional and passionate about”.
